About this event
View original artwork inspired by the history and landscape of Gainesville’s Evergreen Cemetery during The Art of Death exhibition and art reception. Throughout October, local professional and emerging artists have painted among the cemetery’s historic headstones and oak trees, capturing the beauty and character of this distinctive setting. Meet the participating artists, see their completed paintings and learn about the inspiration behind their work.
Each original piece will be available for purchase, offering an opportunity to take home artwork connected to Gainesville’s local history. Light refreshments will be served during the reception.
